New York senator proposes task force on athlete performance betting
New York state senator Jeremy Zellner introduced a bill to create a task force examining betting on individual athletes’ performances. The proposed group would assess the market, revenues, competition-integrity risks and effects on licensed operators, with a report due by 31 December.
The proposed review could inform New York’s assessment of integrity, consumer and operator risks tied to athlete performance bets.
