Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo announced the appointment of civil litigator Richard Schonfeld to the Nevada Gaming Commission. Schonfeld’s term begins on 28 April, replacing Rosa Solis-Rainey after her term expired.
The appointment fills a commission role involved in Nevada gaming licensing, regulation and disciplinary decisions.

Rank Group confirmed Richard Harris as its permanent chief executive on 13 July 2026, after he served as interim CEO from 30 January. The company said its board selected him unanimously following a recruitment process; Rank expects full-year like-for-like operating profit of £68m for 2025/26 and has a medium-term target of at least £100m.
Online gambling affiliate Mr Gamble appointed Richard Dennys as chief executive with immediate effect, the company announced. Dennys most recently led affiliate publisher Game Lounge and previously held roles at Webgains, Tech City UK, Moonfruit, Azimo.com and HERE.com.
Minas Gerais governor Mateus Simões appointed Luciano França da Silveira Jr. as director-general of Loteria Mineira, with the designation published on 4 June. França replaces Onésimo Diniz Moreira, who left the post at his own request; the state also appointed Vanderlei Daniel da Silva as deputy director-general.
Rio de Janeiro governor Cláudio Castro dismissed Hazenclever Lopes Cançado at his request and appointed Fabiola Esteves Rocha as Loterj president on 20 March. The change was published in an extra edition of the state’s official gazette. The report says Cançado plans to focus on a campaign for federal deputy.
It was reported that Nevada Gaming Commission opened applications to replace a member of its off-track pari-mutuel wagering committee. The notice concerns a state-law appointment to the horse-racing betting body.
