Nevada Gaming Commission approves Genting executives and directors for board roles

Licences & markets

The Nevada Gaming Commission approved former governor Brian Sandoval and gaming attorney A.G. Burnett for board roles at Resorts World Las Vegas, while also approving Genting Berhad chief executive Kong Han Tan and Genting Plantations chief executive Keon Hui Lim, according to a media report. Sandoval and Burnett discussed the property’s compliance oversight and engagement with its parent company; Burnett said Resorts World’s anti-money-laundering oversight had failed, rather than its compliance programme.

The approvals add licensed board members as Resorts World faces scrutiny over governance and compliance.
