Nebraska voters reject online sports betting measures

Regulation

Nebraska voters rejected Initiatives 440 and 441, which would have legalised statewide online sports betting. The proposed framework included a 20% tax, with 70% of proceeds assigned to tax relief; Tax Relief Nebraska estimated US$238m in relief over 10 years. Sports betting therefore remains limited to in-person wagering at licensed racetrack casinos.

Operators cannot offer statewide mobile sports betting under the rejected proposals.
