Navarra High Court upholds regional gambling restrictions

Regulation

Navarra’s High Court of Justice upheld restrictions in the regional gambling and betting regulations, rejecting challenges brought by ANESAR Navarra, according to the report. The ruling accepted different closing times for bingo halls, which may operate until 03:00, and gaming halls and betting shops, which must close by 00:30. The court said public health and protection of vulnerable groups could justify the distinction.

The ruling maintains different permitted operating hours for bingo halls and gaming and betting venues in Navarra.
