Minnesota Supreme Court leaves Running Aces gaming approval in place

Regulation

The Minnesota Supreme Court left the Racing Commission’s approval of Running Aces’ updated floor plan in place after an even split on the merits, in a decision filed on 21 January 2026. The ruling ends the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community’s challenge and allows the venue to add one dealer table and 11 electronic player stations.

The decision allows Running Aces to proceed with the approved electronic table-game expansion despite the tribe’s challenge.
