Malta's Gaming Authority outlined its 2026 supervisory priorities for the online gaming sector. Its planned reviews cover controls for cash and crypto assets, betting integrity in athletes' own sports and esports, and player-protection measures, including monthly alternative dispute resolution reporting.

Italy’s ADM published its 2026 strategic programme, identifying implementation of the gambling-sector reorganisation under Legislative Decree 41/2024 as a priority. The agency said it would strengthen oversight of land-based and online gambling, combat illegal and underage gambling, and promote a safer, transparent offer.
The Malta Gaming Authority outlined its views on gambling regulation ahead of the London iGaming RegCom 2026 event on 29 and 30 June. The MGA said supervision should be proportionate to risk, make greater use of data and technology, and address emerging issues early; its representative Erika Formosa-Falzon is due to join a panel on anti-money laundering practices.
The DGOJ took part in Bet on Ceuta 2026 on 17 and 18 June, addressing player protection and online fraud, the regulator said. Director General Mikel Arana said the main challenges lie within Spain's regulated market and cited planned joint deposit limits and a common risk-detection mechanism. A second session covered identity fraud with Experian.
The Copenhagen Group set priorities at its tenth meeting in Nicosia, including turning alerts into investigations and expanding national platforms. Its report said 32% of participating bodies use AI for market monitoring, while the group identified the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage as a heightened integrity risk and plans pilots using machine learning.
Cyprus’s Gaming and Casino Supervision Commission presented its institutional review for 2024-2025 and strategic priorities at a press conference, the commission said. Its chair said Cyprus had gained a prominent role in European gambling regulation, citing the country’s selection to host the Gaming Regulators European Forum’s annual conference. The commission also described its METRON funding programme for preventing problem gambling.
