MGA and MDIA launch voluntary AI charter for gaming sector
The Malta Gaming Authority and Malta Digital Innovation Authority launched a voluntary, principles-based AI Gaming Charter for the gaming sector on 18 September. The authorities said it complements existing laws rather than replacing them, and sets out guidance on governance, human oversight and ethical assessment of AI systems.
The charter gives gaming operators voluntary guidance on AI governance and human oversight alongside existing regulation.
