The Massachusetts Gaming Commission announced its Bet on Respect initiative in Massachusetts on 31 August 2026. It will investigate suspected harassment connected to sports wagering, and people found responsible may face involuntary exclusion from sports wagering and casinos under state law and regulation 205 CMR 152. The commission also opened a reporting portal for leagues, players’ associations, college athletics programmes, venues and players.

Operators may need to respond to investigations and exclusion decisions involving patrons accused of harassing athletes.
