Malaysia removes 457,562 gambling posts in five months

Malaysian authorities reported that service providers removed about 457,562 gambling-related posts and other content between 1 January and 31 May 2025. The removals covered roughly 98% of 467,772 requests submitted after MCMC monitoring and enforcement referrals. Internet service providers also blocked 1,778 gambling websites in the same period, the Communications Ministry told Parliament.
