Loyra expects Spain’s gambling bill reform to reach parliament after 2027 begins

Regulation

Loyra Abogados expects Spain’s gambling law reform to reach parliament well into 2027, according to its analysis following the announcement of an early election. It says the election does not alter the planned 25 March 2027 start of joint deposit limits of €700 daily, €1,750 weekly and €3,300 over four weeks. Jdigital plans to challenge the limits, but the appeal will not suspend them unless the Supreme Court orders interim measures.

Operators must continue preparing for the deposit-limit system unless the Supreme Court orders a suspension.
