The Loteria do Estado do Paraná (Lottopar) said the state's instant lottery has raised more than R$60m since operations began in 2024. The authority said the regulated market operates under its regulation and oversight, with policies covering responsible gambling, enforcement and anti-money-laundering measures.
Prize payouts were R$4.3m in 2024 and R$208.1m in 2025, according to Lottopar. In the first nine months of 2026, prizes reached R$340.5m, which the authority said exceeded the whole of the previous year. Total prizes since the concessionaire began operations are more than R$610m.
Lottopar said authorised concessionaires are subject to rules on identification, financial controls, anti-money-laundering prevention and responsible gambling policies, and that these requirements are being refined as the market matures and the retail network expands. The authority said legal, supervised alternatives allow demand served by the clandestine market to migrate gradually, reducing the space for activity that may be linked to money laundering, fraud and other crimes.
Daniel Romanowski, Lottopar's chief executive, said the authority's role goes beyond operating lotteries and that it is consolidating a legal, supervised and responsible market that protects bettors, helps reduce the space for clandestine activity and generates returns for society. He said the commitment is to ensure growth goes together with security, transparency and the public interest, and that although the market is still maturing, the lottery shows continuous and sustainable growth.
Lottopar said its strategy is to consolidate a state lottery model that turns a regulated economic activity into protection for bettors, stronger public security controls and benefits for the population of Paraná.
