- Lotto Hessen opened the third round of its Glücksprojekte funding programme on 27 October 2026.
- Lotto Hessen says it has funded 104 clubs with €2,000 each, €208,000 in total, since summer 2024.
Lotto Hessen opened the third round of its "Lotto hilft Hessen-Glücksprojekte" funding programme on 27 October 2026, the company said. From 11 November, one club project is to be drawn each Wednesday to receive €2,000, with 52 projects in Hesse to be funded over a year. Applications from sports, cultural and social clubs in Hesse for the 2026/27 round are open now.
The programme was created for the company's 75th anniversary, and Lotto Hessen has supported clubs in Hesse through it since summer 2024. Since the initiative began, Lotto Hessen has funded 104 clubs with €2,000 each, a total of €208,000. Almost 400 applications were received for the second round, 2025/26, alone. Of the 52 projects funded in that round, 28 were in sport, 13 in the social sector and 11 in culture.
Martin Blach, speaker of the management board at Lotto Hessen, said: "Was in Hessens Vereinen jeden Tag geleistet wird, ist ein Gewinn für unser gesellschaftliches Miteinander. Dass die Glücksprojekte diesen Einsatz nun das dritte Jahr in Folge stärken, freut mich sehr."
Among the projects funded in the second round, the volunteer fire service in Eichenzell-Büchenberg used its €2,000 to buy a mini fire engine for its children's fire service, and a parents' initiative in Wiesbaden bought a climbing frame for a nursery garden.
