Lotteritilsynet investigates Betsson.sport shirt branding at Inter match

Regulation

Norway’s Lotteritilsynet has opened a case over Inter displaying Betsson.sport on its shirts during a match at Bodø/Glimt on 18 February, the regulator said. The authority is examining whether the branding breaches the gambling marketing ban and has not decided who, if anyone, should face action. It said Bodø/Glimt had acted in an orderly manner, while sanctions against Inter remain possible.

The case could clarify whether gambling-linked shirt sponsorship falls within Norway’s marketing ban and who may face enforcement.

The agreements’ future depends on legal definitions and the Brazilian Congress’s decision.
