Lorca Socialist group proposes gaming venue distance rules after court ruling

Regulation

The Socialist group on Lorca’s municipal council plans to propose new planning rules for gaming venues after the regional high court annulled restrictions adopted in 2023. Its motion proposes 500-metre buffers from specified facilities and 1,000 metres between gaming venues, supported by technical studies and a report. Councillor José Luis Ruiz said the ruling did not prevent distance rules but required sufficient technical justification.

A new proposal could reintroduce location limits affecting gaming venues in Lorca, subject to technical support and approval.
