LADIS records 3,108 gambling-treatment patients in the Netherlands in 2025

Regulation

The Netherlands’ LADIS addiction-care monitor recorded 3,108 people receiving treatment for gambling-related problems in 2025, reportedly. That was up from 2,750 in 2024, a 13% increase; about half of those entering treatment had not previously received specialist addiction care. The report cautioned that LADIS covers specialist services and not all providers report to the system.

The increase in recorded treatment cases is relevant to regulators assessing gambling-related harm and the reach of specialist care.
