KSA urges Dutch operators to remove social betting features
The KSA urged licensed online gambling operators in the Netherlands to remove features that let customers share bets through social media and messaging apps. The regulator said these tools could expose minors, young adults and people with gambling problems to gambling advertising; it set no deadline but said it would monitor the market and take enforcement action where necessary.
Operators may need to change bet-sharing functions to address the KSA’s concern about advertising reaching vulnerable groups.
