Konami Gaming wins North America land-based game award for BOMBERMAN slots

Konami Gaming said its BOMBERMAN slot series received the North America Game of the Year award in the land-based category at the 2026 Gaming Intelligence Awards. The company announced the award in a press release.

The company said the first BOMBERMAN slots launched less than 12 months before the award. Thousands of BOMBERMAN machines are in operation in casinos in North America, South America and Europe, according to the company.

Konami Gaming said third-party performance reports had shown the popularity of the slots across several categories, including Top Indexing Games – Core (Low Denom, Video Reel), Top Indexing Games – Core (Mid Denom, Video Reel) and Top Indexing Games – Overall Parent Theme. The games use characters and imagery from the video game series, such as brick walls, power-up symbols and BOMBERMAN itself, and in the Hold & Spin feature players can blast brick walls for extra prizes, random credit prizes and other rewards, the company said.

He also said the BOMBERMAN slots are among several new KONAMI releases that have connected with players, and that the company's teams work closely with casino partners to expand titles such as Bull Blitz Rampage, Red Fortune Rail and Money in the Bank to more gaming destinations.
