In brief
  • Kiron has launched 20 virtual sports titles with SportyBet in Zambia, Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana and Nigeria.
  • The content spans football, basketball, horse and greyhound racing, motorsport and other virtual formats.
  • Football is the largest part, covering England, Spain and Italy, plus Soccer Stars, iGOAL and tournament titles.
  • Kiron co-CEO Steven Spartinos and SportyBet casino director Joey Hurtado commented on the partnership.

Kiron has launched 20 virtual sports titles with SportyBet in Zambia, Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana and Nigeria, the supplier announced. The rollout covers football, basketball, horse and greyhound racing, motorsport and other virtual formats, according to the company.

Most of the rollout is made up of football, the supplier said, with league and single-match products for England, Spain and Italy. Soccer Stars and the fast-format iGOAL football content are part of the line-up, as are Virtual World Cup and Virtual Champions League tournament experiences. Horse racing, greyhound racing and motorsport round out the football offering with a broad racing selection.

Steven Spartinos, Co-CEO at Kiron, said going live with 20 titles in five countries from day one was a strong start to the partnership with SportyBet and reflected the breadth of content Kiron can bring to the market. He said football is central to the offering, but the variety around it is the strength of the launch, bringing together different sports, formats and event types in one portfolio. He added that SportyBet has built a significant presence across Africa and that the broad portfolio gives Kiron a foundation to continue growing in the market.

SportyBet Casino Director Joey Hurtado said the operator aims to provide its players with a wide and varied sports entertainment experience, describing Kiron's portfolio as a strong addition to what the company offers. According to Hurtado, football, racing, basketball and other virtual formats together give players greater choice across the day and work alongside the live sports already on the platform. He added that SportyBet is pleased to have Kiron's content live and expects to develop the partnership further.

Kiron describes itself as a technology company specialising in virtual sports and numbers games, operating since 2001 and supplying content to operators, casinos and lotteries in regulated markets. The company says its portfolio includes more than 60 virtual games and that it has clients in more than 60 countries across six continents, with licences and certifications in key jurisdictions. It also says it has expanded into instant win formats, crash games and aggregated casino content.
