Kentucky legislature overrides governor’s veto of House Bill 904

Regulation

Kentucky’s House and Senate voted to override Governor Andy Beshear’s veto of House Bill 904, by 67-7 and 26-5 respectively, according to the report. The bill is to go to the Secretary of State; the report says it would become law if the governor does not sign it. Its provisions include raising the sports betting age to 21 and requiring licensed sportsbooks to accept wagers offering payouts up to $1,000.

Operators may need to adjust age checks, wager acceptance and other practices if the bill takes effect.
