Kangwon Land CEO search remains stalled in South Korea

People moves

Kangwon Land has yet to appoint a permanent chief executive, reportedly, as acting chief executive Choi Cheol-gyu’s term expired in December 2025. A regional revitalisation committee urged the government to provide an appointment timetable; the company’s rules allow Choi to remain in the role until a successor is appointed.

The lack of a permanent chief executive leaves Kangwon Land’s leadership unresolved while Choi may remain until a successor is appointed.
