Jdigital report estimates illegal online gambling at €231m in Spain in 2024
A Jdigital report prepared by EY estimated that 23.4% of surveyed online gamblers in Spain had used unregulated platforms, knowingly or unknowingly. It put the sector’s 2024 volume at €231 million, equivalent to 16% of the regulated market’s value, based on an online survey of 1,095 users aged 18 to 65.
The estimates give operators and regulators figures on unregulated gambling’s reported scale and the surveyed players exposed to it.
