A gender-budget report presented to Italy’s Chamber of Deputies says gambling participation among students aged 15–19 rose from 40.0% in 2018 to 57.2% in 2024. The report also gives age- and gender-based participation figures, including 73.1% for 19-year-old boys and 53.7% for 19-year-old girls.

Italy’s Ministry of Economy and Finance set stronger tax controls and revenue recovery in the gaming sector as priorities for 2027 in a policy directive signed by minister Giancarlo Giorgetti.
