Italy’s Ministry of Economy and Finance forecasts €6.489bn in tax receipts from gambling activities in 2026, according to its 2026-2028 budget document. The estimate compares with €6.782bn in the 2025 revised budget and rises to €6.704bn in 2027 and €6.833bn in 2028.
The forecast informs operators and investors about Italy’s projected gambling-tax receipts over the next three years.

It was reported that Extremadura expects €24.55m in gambling tax revenue during 2026. The report also lists €260,000 for programmes addressing gambling addiction.
Extremadura’s budget execution data showed €4,930,581.88 in net receipts from the online Gambling Activities Tax by 30 September 2026, against a full-year forecast of €3,800,000. The region also recorded €16,300,753.40 in land-based gambling fees, 78.5% of its €20,750,000 annual estimate.
The Junta de Extremadura had collected €21.23m in gambling-related taxes by the end of Q3 2026, according to budget execution data published by the Intervención General. The figures are closed at 30 September.
The Murcia Tax Agency reported €35.56m in recognised gambling-tax revenue for the first half of 2026, 0.97% below the same period in 2025. Gambling tax accounted for €34.50m, while bingo-prize tax generated €130,087 and raffle tax €927,012.
The ATRM, Murcia's regional tax agency, reported recognised revenue from gambling taxes of €35.56m through June 2026. The comparable figure for the same period of 2025 was €35.90m, a decrease of 0.97%.
It was reported that provisional figures show UK remote gaming tax receipts increased by 108% following the tax rise announced last autumn. Industry figures said they needed further data before drawing conclusions.
According to provisional HMRC figures issued on 2 October 2026, remote gaming duty collected in July came to almost £590m, compared with £283m a year earlier — a jump of over 108%. The rate change had been introduced in April 2026, having been set out in the previous autumn budget.
The Valencian Community recorded €103.34m in actual gambling-tax receipts in 2026, 2.5% below the same period in 2025, according to reported figures. Recognised tax rights totalled €106.20m, down 2% year on year. Taxes on type B and C machines accounted for €69.80m of recognised rights, while bingo contributed €17.97m.
