Italian court annuls ADM €20,000 penalty over altered gaming machines

Enforcement & compliance

An Italian court annulled an ADM administrative order fining a machine-owning company and its legal representative €20,000 over altered AWP machines. The court found that ownership alone did not establish responsibility, and that ADM had to prove the sanctioned parties were connected to the breach.

The ruling means ADM must establish evidence linking machine owners to alleged tampering before imposing this sanction.
