Interior Department rejects Scotts Valley casino plan for Vallejo land

Regulation

The US Department of the Interior rejected the Scotts Valley Band of Pomo Indians’ proposed casino on land in Vallejo, California, reportedly on 31 July 2026. Tribal chair Shawn Davis said the tribe would challenge the decision in federal court; the Lytton Rancheria welcomed it.

The decision blocks gaming on the proposed site unless the tribe overturns it in court.
