Indian Gaming Association chairman urges action against prediction markets
Indian Gaming Association chairman David Bean said the organisation will pursue lobbying and litigation to oppose sports betting prediction markets, which he said threaten tribal sovereignty. Bean cited a Polymarket trader who reportedly won more than $400,000 after wagering $32,500 on the removal of Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro by the end of January, and alleged the trade involved insider information.
The proposed lobbying and litigation could affect prediction-market operators and tribal gaming interests.
