iM Securities forecasts Jeju Dream Tower casino table expansion to 216 from 2027

Deals & M&A2 min read

In brief

  • iM Securities forecasts Jeju Dream Tower's table count rising from 170 to 216 from 2027.
  • Lotte Tour Development declined to comment; the expansion is not company-confirmed.
  • Ministry data recorded 169 tables at the casino as of April 2026.

Jeju Dream Tower could raise its gaming table count from 170 to 216 from 2027, according to a report by brokerage iM Securities Co Ltd. The proposed layout would extend casino operations beyond the existing second-floor space to the third and sixth floors. The table count and floor arrangements remain attributed to iM Securities, and Lotte Tour Development Co, the promoter of the South Korean property and its foreigner-only casino, declined to comment on the report.

The Friday note from analyst Hwang Jiwon concerns Lotte Tour Development Co, which promotes the South Korean property and its foreigner-only casino. Twenty more mass-market baccarat tables are envisaged for the casino's current second-floor space. A Texas Hold'em poker zone is proposed for the third floor, though the note gives no total for its tables. Sixteen VIP baccarat tables are planned for the sixth floor. Overall table capacity would grow by slightly more than 27%, per the brokerage.

Where the brokerage obtained its information on the possible changes was not disclosed. The expansion is dated from 2027 onwards in the report. Rather than concentrating every proposed table on the second floor, the plan combines a higher table count with a shift in the location of gaming. No company confirmation backs the expansion as announced, and the promoter's reply neither verified the brokerage's account nor added any detail.

Figures issued by South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism recorded 169 gaming tables at Jeju Dream Tower as of April 2026, slightly different from the starting total of 170 used by the brokerage. The ministry listed 140 baccarat tables and 16 poker tables, with the remaining inventory made up of five blackjack tables, four roulette tables and four tables assigned to dai sai.

According to a Jeju government official speaking to GGRAsia, a gaming property that lifts its inventory by less than 50% must notify and consult the local authority. Planning permission from the Jeju authorities is needed once an increase passes 50%.
