Illinois Senate committee schedules hearing on gambling disorder bill
Illinois’ Senate Executive Committee scheduled a hearing on SB 2749 for 18 February 2026, the report said. The bill, introduced by Senator Julie Morrison, would add gambling disorder to the state’s Substance Use Disorder Act and direct the Department of Human Services to provide support services, a hotline and a website.
If enacted, the bill would define state support and prevention services for people affected by gambling disorder.
