Illinois Gaming Board sends 65 cease-and-desist letters to sweepstakes casinos
The Illinois Gaming Board said it issued 65 cease-and-desist letters to sweepstakes casino operators, including VGW, Modo, Fliff, High 5 and Stake. The letters demand that recipients block Illinois residents or stop offering cash, gift cards and other prizes, and warn that non-compliance may lead to civil or criminal penalties.
The letters put named sweepstakes operators on notice to block Illinois users or discontinue prize offerings in the state.
