IGE, GN Media and WorldGaming plan Casa Italia launch at ICE Barcelona

Casa Italia is planned to make its debut at ICE Barcelona 2027, which is scheduled to run from 18 to 20 January at Fira Barcelona Gran Via, according to the organisers. The initiative was developed by IGE – Italian Gaming Expo & Conference and GN Media in partnership with WorldGaming, the organisation behind ICE, the organisers said.

The organisers said Casa Italia is intended as a meeting point for industry, institutions, regulatory authorities and trade associations, rather than only an exhibition pavilion. Its programme is to cover regulated markets, innovation, consumer protection, sustainability and responsible gaming, with networking opportunities, and it is to connect with ICE initiatives for dialogue within the international regulatory community.

Alessio Crisantemi, founder of IGE and head of GN Media, said: “With Casa Italia, we want to give an entire ecosystem a shared home and a stronger international voice.” According to him, the country’s role goes beyond being a significant market, since it also brings industrial and regulatory know-how. He added that the goal is for participation at ICE to become a durable platform linking businesses, institutions and international markets, rather than a single showcase.

Stuart Hunter, managing director events at WorldGaming, said: “Italy is a major force in European gaming, and Casa Italia offers a valuable opportunity to connect its expertise with ICE’s global community.” He said the initiative is intended to encourage exchanges between businesses, institutions and regulators.

The official inauguration of Casa Italia is set for Monday 18 January 2027 at 12:00. The organisers presented the project as something built to endure inside the partnership between IGE/GN Media and WorldGaming/ICE, with the goal of tightening the connection between Italy’s regulated gaming sector and the worldwide industry.
