HISA seeks $2.4 million in fees from Churchill Downs
The Horseracing Integrity and Safety Authority says Churchill Downs owes $2.4 million in fees and could ask the Federal Trade Commission to block the Kentucky Derby simulcast if the dispute remains unresolved. The report says a block could restrict online and out-of-state wagering on the race and other events at Churchill Downs-owned tracks that week. Churchill Downs disputes HISA's fee calculation.
A simulcast block could limit where operators and wagering platforms can accept bets on the Kentucky Derby.
