Reportedly, GiG Software is considering raising €8.5m to acquire 888Africa. The acquisition would bring GiG back into B2C gambling after its shift towards B2B in 2023.
Phil Richards left his role as Gaming Innovation Group’s chief financial officer in October, according to the report, after two-and-a-half years in the position. He said on LinkedIn that he would become CFO of Chaos in December; the report also said he joined GiG in July 2024.

Reportedly, GiG chief financial officer Phil Richards expects the 888Africa acquisition to support its B2B pipeline as the group returns to B2C. Richards linked the acquisition opportunity to Evoke’s restructuring earlier this year, while analysts flagged potential B2B headwinds.
Bally’s chief financial officer Mira Mircheva will leave on 30 September for personal reasons. The company disclosed a going-concern warning in August and said it was seeking financing alternatives to improve liquidity. Bally’s has halted parts of its $1.7bn Chicago development amid a dispute over video gambling terminals, while construction of the casino continues.
Scientific Games has appointed Dan Flynn chief executive, succeeding Pat McHugh, who retired in September, the company said. It also appointed interim CEO Kevin Schneider chairman of its board; Schneider joined the board as an independent director in 2022 and became vice chairman in March.
