GiG Software's chief financial officer has left with immediate effect, according to a report. The report says the company has begun searching for a successor; it does not identify the departing executive.

GiG Software plans to buy 80% of 888AFRICA from evoke subsidiary Virtual Emerging Entertainment Limited for approximately €16.4m. GiG approved an €8.5m fundraising through shares and convertible loans to support the initial payment. The transaction requires further approvals and definitive agreements, while founders would retain the remaining shares and management involvement.
Reportedly, GiG Software is considering raising €8.5m to acquire 888Africa. The acquisition would bring GiG back into B2C gambling after its shift towards B2B in 2023.
Polymarket has recruited its first chief financial officer, citing Bloomberg. SBC Americas also reported the departure of Bally’s chief financial officer.
Phil Richards left his role as chief financial officer of Gaming Innovation Group in October after two-and-a-half years, according to his LinkedIn post. Richards said he will become CFO of technology company Chaos in December.
The African Responsible Gaming Network appointed Lucy Vivi, SiGMA World’s head of international and government relations for Africa, to its advisory board. ARGN said she will contribute professional guidance and industry perspectives on responsible gaming and player protection across Africa.
