Gemini Titan files CFTC certification for time-interval sports contracts

Regulation

Gemini Titan filed a product self-certification with the CFTC on 23 January to list sports event contracts based on statistics within parts of a game. The contracts would allow yes-or-no positions on specified outcomes and have a notional size of $1.00, with prices ranging from $0.01 to $0.99. The filing says official values would follow a hierarchy led by the league governing the event.

The filing sets out a proposed sports-contract product for a federally regulated exchange, rather than a state-licensed sportsbook offering.
