Gatchalian urges Philippine authorities to target illegal offshore gambling sites
Philippine senator Sherwin Gatchalian urged authorities to do more to stop illegal offshore gambling sites from reaching local players. The report said the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordination Center had blocked 50,000 online gaming sites, 95% to 97% of them based abroad. Gatchalian supports regulation of the domestic online gaming sector rather than a complete ban, the report said.
