France notifies EU of two draft rules for excluded-player databases
France has notified the European Commission of two draft rules on procedures and technical requirements for checking databases of people barred from casinos and gaming halls. The proposals replace the birthplace field with municipality and second- and third-name fields, and introduce an API-based query system. The standstill period ends on 26 June 2026.
Casinos and gaming halls may need to adapt identity checks and database queries if the draft rules proceed.
