Finnish National Police Board approves ComeOn and SuomiVeto licences

Date operators may begin offering services in Finland 2027

Finland's National Police Board has approved licences for ComeOn Group and SuomiVeto to offer online casino and sports betting in the country from 1 July 2027, both companies confirmed. The approvals allow the operators to prepare for entry into Finland's re-regulated iGaming market.

Raffaele Amodio, chief financial officer of EEG, described Finland as central to the group's expansion plans. In his view, holding licences before entering a regulated market provides a strong basis for revenue growth that is sustainable and compliant. He said this also backs the group's ongoing commitment to the 100 per cent regulated revenue.

SuomiVeto, led by the founders of BetCity in the Netherlands, also confirmed its licence approval. Chief executive and co-founder Melvin Bostelaar said he was proud of the team and everyone who had helped the company reach the milestone, and that the licence was the beginning of a new chapter. He said that from the company's home in Helsinki it was putting everything in place to bring Finland something from day one.

ComeOn and SuomiVeto join Hippos ATG and Wildz Group among the operators that have so far confirmed licence approval in Finland.
