FEMAFOOT refers Mali match-betting inquiry to ethics commission

Regulation

Mali's football federation, FEMAFOOT, said on 28 August 2026 that it had opened an inquiry into betting alerts linked to the 10 June Ligue 1 match between Afrique Football Elite and AS Korofina, which ended 5–3. The federation said alerts from international monitoring bodies included unusual, apparently coordinated betting patterns; it stressed that the inquiry was not a ruling against AS Korofina. The matter has been sent to the Independent Ethics Commission to hear the parties and review the evidence.

The inquiry may affect the integrity oversight of betting markets linked to Mali's domestic football competitions.
