Fanatics, IC360 and Signify launch programme to identify abusive bettors

Deals & M&A

Fanatics Sportsbook, IC360 and Signify Group have launched a programme to identify bettors who abuse or threaten athletes, coaches and officials online. It will combine Signify’s social media monitoring with IC360’s ProhiBet platform, with serious cases investigated and potential criminal conduct referred to law enforcement. Fanatics said it will suspend or permanently close accounts linked to abusive or threatening conduct; the programme is due to begin at the start of the football season.

Participating sportsbooks can use shared identification tools to restrict accounts linked to threats against sports figures.
