Evoke reports 7% revenue fall to £406m in Q3 2026

Deals & M&A · SectorWire deskSource published 2 min read

Evoke reported revenue of £406m for Q3 2026, a fall of 7% from the same period a year earlier, according to preliminary results for the three months ended 30 September. The group operates betting and gaming brands including William Hill, 888 and Mr Green.

At constant currency and on a like-for-like basis, excluding the effect of a reduction of about 270 shops compared with the same period of 2025, revenue fell 2%. Sports results that were particularly favourable to customers at the start of the football season reduced revenue growth by about 1-2 percentage points year on year. On a normalised basis, revenue was broadly stable.

The acquisition of Evoke by Bally's Intralot is proceeding according to plan, the company said. Shareholders of both companies approved the necessary resolutions at their respective meetings and most of the required regulatory approvals have been obtained. Completion is expected between the end of Q4 2026 and the start of Q1 2027, subject to the remaining conditions being met or waived where permitted.

Chief executive Per Widerström said the underlying business continued to show resilience and reflected attention to profitability and cash generation after significant increases in gambling taxes, particularly in the UK. He said the closure of 270 shops over the past year showed the effect of higher sector taxation on employment and people's livelihoods, and called on the UK government to assess carefully any further increases ahead of the autumn Budget. He said the company remained focused on disciplined execution and operational efficiency as it moves towards completion of the acquisition.
