Evoke reports £406m Q3 revenue as Bally's Intralot takeover advances

Deals & M&A2 min read

Evoke reported group revenue of £406m for the three months to 30 September 2026, down 7% on a reported basis and 2% like-for-like. The company said its recommended acquisition by Bally's Intralot is on track, with completion expected between late Q4 2026 and early Q1 2027.

Evoke reported group revenue of £406m for the three months to 30 September 2026, down 7% on a reported basis and 2% like-for-like at constant currency, according to a company update. The like-for-like figure excludes the effect of about 270 fewer retail outlets than in the same period a year earlier.

Evoke said sports results that were particularly favourable to customers in the early part of the football season weighed on year-on-year revenue growth, with an estimated negative impact of about 1-2 percentage points. On a normalised basis, revenue was broadly stable, the company said.

On the recommended acquisition by Bally's Intralot S.A., Evoke said the transaction is proceeding according to plan. Shareholders of both companies approved the required resolutions at their respective meetings and most of the necessary regulatory approvals have been obtained, according to the update. Subject to the satisfaction or waiver of the remaining conditions, completion is expected between late Q4 2026 and early Q1 2027.

Evoke CEO Per Widerström said the underlying business continues to show resilience and reflects the company's focus on profitability and cash generation following significant increases in gambling taxes, particularly in the UK. He said the closure of 270 outlets over the past year shows the effect of higher sector taxation on jobs and people's livelihoods, and called on the UK government to assess carefully any further increases ahead of the forthcoming autumn Budget. Widerström said Evoke remains focused on disciplined execution of its strategy and on operational efficiency as it moves towards completion of the acquisition.

Evoke's brands include William Hill, 888 and Mr Green, according to the update. The company described itself as one of the main betting and gambling companies worldwide.
