European Lotteries forms illegal-gambling task force and launches pilot
European Lotteries has established a task force on illegal gambling and started an international pilot with digital intelligence company White Bullet, the organisation announced. The group includes experts from Belgium, Finland, France, Greece and Poland and will share practices while supporting monitoring of illegal gambling content on websites, search engines and social media. The pilot also plans engagement with digital platforms and intermediaries to encourage content removal.
The pilot could strengthen lottery operators’ coordination and monitoring of unauthorised online gambling activity.
