The government of Entre Ríos promulgated Law No. 11,326 on 21 October, which bars people listed in the province's Register of Child-Support Debtors from entering casinos and gaming halls. The law was published in the Boletín Oficial No. 28,443 on 23 October, according to the provincial government's publication. The measure also covers cultural and sporting events and other activities that require the payment of an entrance fee.
Under the law, the Instituto de Ayuda Financiera a la Acción Social (IAFAS) will coordinate application of the prohibition in the gambling sector with the authorities of the Register of Child-Support Debtors. Implementation in casinos will be progressive, and the specific procedures will be set through regulation by the bodies involved. For ticketed events, municipalities that have adhered must inform organisers of the obligation to request the corresponding registry certificate before allowing access.
The law formalises an initiative that received a first approval in the Chamber of Deputies in November 2025 and final approval in the provincial Senate on 14 October 2026. It amends existing legislation and adds restrictions for people with accredited failures to meet their child-support obligations.

Other Argentine jurisdictions have adopted comparable measures. San Juan, the province of Buenos Aires and Salta have passed laws barring people listed in child-support debtors registers from casinos and gaming halls, while Jujuy is working on implementation through an agreement between the judiciary and the gambling regulator. In August 2026, the City of Buenos Aires approved a law preventing child-support debtors from opening accounts, depositing funds, betting or withdrawing money on authorised online gambling platforms. A bill has been presented in the province of Buenos Aires to add similar restrictions to the digital market.
La Rioja is evaluating restricting access to casinos, bingo halls and gaming rooms, and Tucumán has a bill covering both land-based and online gambling that proposes the preventive freezing of funds and prizes. At national level, a federal register is being promoted that would extend such restrictions to casinos, bingo halls, betting agencies and authorised digital platforms.
