Deals & M&A · SectorWire deskSource published 1 min read

EGT ranked first among legal entities for application activity in Bulgaria's National Intellectual Property Map for a second consecutive year. The certificate was presented at the official launch of the 2025 edition of the map, held on 22 October at the University of National and World Economy (UNWE) in Sofia.

The Certificate for Achieved Results was presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Maria Vodenicharova, Vice-Rector for Research at UNWE, and received on behalf of EGT by Jeni Koussarova, the company's Marketing Director. EGT Digital was also among the companies recognised at the ceremony for its achievements in intellectual property.

Koussarova said the recognition was an important assessment of the company's work on its intellectual property and its sustained activity in the field. She said it was particularly valuable that the report gives a measurable picture of Bulgarian companies' contribution to innovation and competitiveness in the country, and thanked UNWE, the institutions and organisations behind the initiative, and the EGT team.

The National Intellectual Property Map of the Republic of Bulgaria is an annual initiative led by UNWE in partnership with national institutions and organisations. Reportedly, it provides a comprehensive view of intellectual property activity in the country and highlights its role in innovation and economic competitiveness.
