EGT announced a partnership with Brazilian platform Paranabet, making more than 200 games available from the platform’s launch. Paranabet operates under a licence issued by the state of Paraná, according to the announcement.
The agreement gives EGT a games distribution partner on a locally licensed platform in Paraná.

Brazil’s National Congress received more than 50 proposed amendments to a provisional measure banning online gambling, reportedly after the measure took effect in late September. At least seven lawmakers proposed exempting sports betting and limiting the ban to online casino games; other proposals address advertising, player health safeguards and licence reimbursements.
Brazil’s Associação Nacional de Jogos e Loterias (ANJL) reported more than 3,500 dismissals or contract terminations since 25 September 2026, following the announcement of a betting ban. The association said 4,167 more workers were on collective leave and forecast that cuts could reach 5,600 within 90 days if the ban continued; it said the figures were partial and based on company data.
Reportedly, the National Association of Games and Lotteries (ANJL) identified more than 3.5 thousand workers dismissed after publication of Provisional Measure No. 1.394/2026. The measure prohibited fixed-odds betting in Brazil.
Brazil’s federal government asked Anatel to suspend more than 10,000 betting websites following the fixed-odds betting prohibition, according to the report. The government said user balances on platforms fell from about R$2.1bn on 26 September to R$1.453bn, while bettors were given until 23:59 on 5 October to withdraw funds voluntarily. Betting company websites and apps were due to go offline from 6 October, with banks scheduled to process refunds from 9 to 14 October.
Reportedly, Avanti Studios has entered Brazil in partnership with Superbet. The supplier begins its South American expansion with more than 20 live casino tables.
