EEEP and EETT establish DNS framework to block illegal gambling sites in Greece

Greece’s Hellenic Gaming Commission (EEEP) announced a cooperation agreement with the Hellenic Telecommunications and Post Commission (EETT) to identify and block unlicensed gambling websites. The proposed framework would use DNS controls and weekly domain reports; the EEEP could order domain suspensions, with temporary deactivation and a two-month bar on re-registration overseen by the EETT. The measures form part of a proposed gambling bill.
