Dutch government considers further gambling advertising restrictions
The Dutch government is considering tighter gambling advertising rules, including a possible blanket ban, State Secretary Claudia van Bruggen said in parliamentary responses. She noted that Cruks cannot check every advertising recipient’s self-exclusion status or block access to unlicensed operators. VNLOK warned that a total marketing ban could make legal platforms less visible to the public.
Any further restrictions could change how licensed Dutch operators advertise and communicate the distinction between regulated and unlicensed services.
