DraftKings to end in-person betting at Wrigley sportsbook on 31 May

Deals & M&A

DraftKings said it will stop taking in-person sports bets at its Wrigley Field venue on 31 May, citing Illinois and Chicago taxes. The site will remain open as a sports lounge, and customers will still be able to bet through the DraftKings app there. DraftKings said the tax structure made further investment in a standalone retail sportsbook harder to justify.

The closure ends DraftKings’ in-person sportsbook service at the venue while leaving its lounge and app betting available.

End-of-day close DraftKings (DKNG), USD, to 2 July 2026
