DraftKings chief executive opposes bans on player prop bets

Deals & M&A

DraftKings chief executive Jason Robins said on 6 February that banning prop bets would push bettors towards offshore markets, according to the interview. He argued for tighter limits on higher-risk markets instead, citing company measures including removing turnover bets and limiting pitch-by-pitch wagers. DraftKings also announced a partnership with Crypto.com to add player-specific event contracts to its Predictions app.

Robins' position and DraftKings' market controls inform operators' response to calls for restrictions on player props.
